This year, like last year, the Missouri General Assembly bundled many legislative changes impacting education into a single bill. That bill (HB 1543) was adopted by the legislature and approved by the governor. Most of the provisions become effective on August 28, 2010. The statute addresses a variety of important subjects including bullying, corporal punishment, dress codes, immunity from liability, administration of medication and conditions of suspension. Click
